Description
The main objective of the composite materials recycling project is to obtain a value-added by-product from the recycling of wind turbine blades and other composite materials from the aeronautical sector. This value-added by-product is the reinforcement fibers of the composite materials, which are obtained with the smallest reduction in length of the fibers.
To achieve this goal, biological processes will be used that allow the recycling of composite materials in an efficient and sustainable way. In this case, microorganisms present in the slurry will be used as a source of biological activity for the recycling process.
The project aims to promote the circular economy and sustainable waste management in the wind and aeronautical sector. This will reduce the amount of waste generated by these industries and contribute to environmental protection.
In addition, the project also seeks to promote innovation and technological development in the composite materials recycling sector. The use of biological processes for the recycling of composite materials is an innovative and promising technique that may have applications in other industrial sectors.
